Abstract
In recent years, especially in women, there is an increase in the incidence of mucosal melanomas originate from the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. This study aims, in the light of the literature, to present the significance of PET scanning in staging the case of mucosal malignant melanoma, which is localized in the nasal cavity, and operated by the functional endoscopic sinus surgery.

Özet
Son yıllarda özellikle kadınlarda nazal kavite ve paranazal sinüslerden köken alan mukozal malign melanomların insidansında bir artış söz konusudur. Bu çalışmada nazal kavitede lokalize olan ve fonksiyonel endoskopik sinüs cerrahisi ile opere edilen bir mukozal malign melanoma olgusunda hastalığın evrelemesinde PET görüntülemenin yerinin literatür eşliğinde gözden geçirilerek sunulması amaçlanmıştır.
